I appoint, &c.--Who is this that dispenses kingdoms, nay, the Kingdom of kingdoms, within an hour or two of His apprehension, and less than a day of His shameful death? These sublime contrasts, however, perpetually meet and entrance us in this matchless history.

Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will also deny us;
Listen, my beloved brothers: Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him?
Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
Everyone who competes in the games trains with strict discipline. They do it for a crown that is perishable, but we do it for a crown that is imperishable.
And our hope for you is sure, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.
