الَّذِي شَهِدَ بِكَلِمَةِ اللهِ وَبِشَهَادَةِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ بِكُلِّ مَا رَآهُ.

bare record of--"testified the word of God" in this book. Where we would say "testifies," the ancients in epistolary communications use the past tense. The word of God constitutes his testimony; Rev 1:3, "the words of this prophecy." the testimony of Jesus--"the Spirit of prophecy" (Rev 19:10). and of all things that, &c.--The oldest manuscripts omit "and." Translate, "whatsoever things he saw," in apposition with "the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ."

The apostolic benediction pronounced on all those who shall pay a due regard to the contents of this book (Rev 1:3-8). III. A glorious vision or appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ to the apostle John, when he delivered to him this revelation (Rev 1:9 to the end).

وَالَّذِي عَايَنَ شَهِدَ، وَشَهَادَتُهُ حَق÷، وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يَقُولُ الْحَقَّ لِتُؤْمِنُوا أَنْتُمْ.
كَمَا ثُبِّتَتْ فِيكُمْ شَهَادَةُ الْمَسِيحِ،
اَلَّذِي كَانَ مِنَ الْبَدْءِ، الَّذِي سَمِعْنَاهُ، الَّذِي رَأَيْنَاهُ بِعُيُونِنَا، الَّذِي شَاهَدْنَاهُ، وَلَمَسَتْهُ أَيْدِينَا، مِنْ جِهَةِ كَلِمَةِ الْحَيَاةِ.
هذَا هُوَ التِّلْمِيذُ الَّذِي يَشْهَدُ بِهذَا وَكَتَبَ هذَا. وَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ شَهَادَتَهُ حَقٌّ.
فَاكْتُبْ مَا رَأَيْتَ، وَمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ، وَمَا هُوَ عَتِيدٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَعْدَ هذَا.
فَغَضِبَ التِّنِّينُ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ، وَذَهَبَ لِيَصْنَعَ حَرْبًا مَعَ بَاقِي نَسْلِهَا الَّذِينَ يَحْفَظُونَ وَصَايَا اللهِ، وَعِنْدَهُمْ شَهَادَةُ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.
وَلَمَّا فَتَحَ الْخَتْمَ الْخَامِسَ، رَأَيْتُ تَحْتَ الْمَذْبَحِ نُفُوسَ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا مِنْ أَجْلِ كَلِمَةِ اللهِ، وَمِنْ أَجْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُمْ،
وَلكِنْ قُمْ وَقِفْ عَلَى رِجْلَيْكَ لأَنِّي لِهذَا ظَهَرْتُ لَكَ، لأَنْتَخِبَكَ خَادِمًا وَشَاهِدًا بِمَا رَأَيْتَ وَبِمَا سَأَظْهَرُ لَكَ بِهِ،
أَنَا يُوحَنَّا أَخُوكُمْ وَشَرِيكُكُمْ فِي الضِّيقَةِ وَفِي مَلَكُوتِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ وَصَبْرِهِ. كُنْتُ فِي الْجَزِيرَةِ الَّتِي تُدْعَى بَطْمُسَ مِنْ أَجْلِ كَلِمَةِ اللهِ، وَمِنْ أَجْلِ شَهَادَةِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.
وَكَانَ الْجَمْعُ الَّذِي مَعَهُ يَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ دَعَا لِعَازَرَ مِنَ الْقَبْرِ وَأَقَامَهُ مِنَ الأَمْوَاتِ.
