Let endurance have a perfect work (taken out of the previous "worketh patience" or endurance), that is, have its full effect, by showing the most perfect degree of endurance, namely, "joy in bearing the cross" [MENOCHIUS], and enduring to the end (Mat 10:22) [CALVIN]. ye may be perfect--fully developed in all the attributes of a Christian character. For this there is required "joy" [BENGEL], as part of the "perfect work" of probation. The work of God in a man is the man. If God's teachings by patience have had a perfect work in you, you are perfect [ALFORD]. entire--that which has all its parts complete, wanting no integral part; Th1 5:23, "your whole (literally, 'entire') spirit, soul, and body"; as "perfect" implies without a blemish in its parts.
افتح المصدر ↗After the inscription and salutation (Jam 1:1) Christians are taught how to conduct themselves when under the cross. Several graces and duties are recommended; and those who endure their trials and afflictions as the apostle here directs are pronounced blessed and are assured of a glorious reward (Jam 1:2-12). But those sins which bring sufferings, or the weakness and faults men are chargeable with under them, are by no means to be imputed to God, who cannot be the author of sin, but is the author of all good (Jam 1:13-18). All passion, and rash anger, and vile affections, ought to be suppressed. The word of God should be made our chief study: and what we hear and know of it we must take care to practise, otherwise our religion will prove but a vain thing. To this is added an account wherein pure religion consists (Jam 1:19-27).

لِكَيْ يَكُونَ إِنْسَانُ اللهِ كَامِلاً، مُتَأَهِّبًا لِكُلِّ عَمَل صَالِحٍ.
فَلاَ نَفْشَلْ فِي عَمَلِ الْخَيْرِ لأَنَّنَا سَنَحْصُدُ فِي وَقْتِهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لاَ نَكِلُّ.
لِيُكَمِّلْكُمْ فِي كُلِّ عَمَل صَالِحٍ لِتَصْنَعُوا مَشِيئَتَهُ، عَامِلاً فِيكُمْ مَا يُرْضِي أَمَامَهُ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، الَّذِي لَهُ الْمَجْدُ إِلَى أَبَدِ الآبِدِينَ. آمِينَ.
لأَنَّ الرُّؤْيَا بَعْدُ إِلَى الْمِيعَادِ، وَفِي النِّهَايَةِ تَتَكَلَّمُ وَلاَ تَكْذِبُ. إِنْ تَوَانَتْ فَانْتَظِرْهَا لأَنَّهَا سَتَأْتِي إِتْيَانًا وَلاَ تَتَأَخَّرُ.
انْتَظِرِ الرَّبَّ وَاصْبِرْ لَهُ، وَلاَ تَغَرْ مِنَ الَّذِي يَنْجَحُ فِي طَرِيقِهِ، مِنَ الرَّجُلِ الْمُجْرِي مَكَايِدَ.
اِنْتِظَارًا انْتَظَرْتُ الرَّبَّ، فَمَالَ إِلَيَّ وَسَمِعَ صُرَاخِي،
لأَنَّنَا فِي أَشْيَاءَ كَثِيرَةٍ نَعْثُرُ جَمِيعُنَا. إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ لاَ يَعْثُرُ فِي الْكَلاَمِ فَذَاكَ رَجُلٌ كَامِلٌ، قَادِرٌ أَنْ يُلْجِمَ كُلَّ الْجَسَدِ أَيْضًا.
