لاَ كَعَبْدٍ فِي مَا بَعْدُ، بَلْ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ عَبْدٍ: أَخًا مَحْبُوبًا، وَلاَ سِيَّمَا إِلَيَّ، فَكَمْ بِالْحَرِيِّ إِلَيْكَ فِي الْجَسَدِ وَالرَّبِّ جَمِيعًا!

No longer as a mere servant or slave (though still he is that), but above a servant, so that thou shalt derive from him not merely the services of a slave, but higher benefits: a servant "in the flesh," he is a brother "in the Lord." beloved, specially to me--who am his spiritual father, and who have experienced his faithful attentions. Lest Philemon should dislike Onesimus being called "brother," Paul first recognizes him as a brother, being the spiritual son of the same God. much more unto thee--to whom he stands in so much nearer and more lasting relation.

أَيُّهَا الْعَبِيدُ، أَطِيعُوا فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ سَادَتَكُمْ حَسَبَ الْجَسَدِ، لاَ بِخِدْمَةِ الْعَيْنِ كَمَنْ يُرْضِي النَّاسَ، بَلْ بِبَسَاطَةِ الْقَلْبِ، خَائِفِينَ الرَّبَّ.
وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ فَلاَ تُدْعَوْا سَيِّدِي، لأَنَّ مُعَلِّمَكُمْ وَاحِدٌ الْمَسِيحُ، وَأَنْتُمْ جَمِيعًا إِخْوَةٌ.
وَالَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سَادَةٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ، لاَ يَسْتَهِينُوا بِهِمْ لأَنَّهُمْ إِخْوَةٌ، بَلْ لِيَخْدِمُوهُمْ أَكْثَرَ، لأَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتَشَارَكُونَ فِي الْفَائِدَةِ، هُمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَمَحْبُوبُونَ. عَلِّمْ وَعِظْ بِهذَا.
لأَنَّ مَنْ دُعِيَ فِي الرَّبِّ وَهُوَ عَبْدٌ، فَهُوَ عَتِيقُ الرَّبِّ. كَذلِكَ أَيْضًا الْحُرُّ الْمَدْعُوُّ هُوَ عَبْدٌ لِلْمَسِيحِ.
فَمَضَى حَنَانِيَّا وَدَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ وَوَضَعَ عَلَيْهِ يَدَيْهِ وَقَالَ: «أَيُّهَا الأَخُ شَاوُلُ، قَدْ أَرْسَلَنِي الرَّبُّ يَسُوعُ الَّذِي ظَهَرَ لَكَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ الَّذِي جِئْتَ فِيهِ، لِكَيْ تُبْصِرَ وَتَمْتَلِئَ مِنَ الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ».
مِنْ ثَمَّ أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَةُ الْقِدِّيسُونَ، شُرَكَاءُ الدَّعْوَةِ السَّمَاوِيَّةِ، لاَحِظُوا رَسُولَ اعْتِرَافِنَا وَرَئِيسَ كَهَنَتِهِ الْمَسِيحَ يَسُوعَ،
كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ فَقَدْ وُلِدَ مِنَ اللهِ. وَكُلُّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ الْوَالِدَ يُحِبُّ الْمَوْلُودَ مِنْهُ أَيْضًا.
