you--The oldest manuscripts read, "us." by our gospel--"through" the Gospel which we preach. to . . . glory--In Th2 2:13 it was "salvation," that is, deliverance from all evil, of body and soul (Th1 5:9); here it is positive good, even "glory," and that "the glory of our Lord Jesus" Himself, which believers are privileged to share with Him (Joh 17:22, Joh 17:24; Rom 8:17, Rom 8:29; Ti2 2:10).
افتح المصدر ↗The apostle is very careful to hinder the spreading of an error into which some among them had fallen concerning the coming of Christ, as being very near (Th2 2:1-3). Then he proceeds to confute the error he cautioned them against, by telling them of two great events that were antecedent to the coming of Christ - a general apostasy, and the revelation of antichrist, concerning whom the apostle tells them many remarkable things, about his name, his character, his rise, his fall, his reign, and the sin and ruin of his subjects (Th2 2:4-12). He then comforts them against the terror of this apostasy, and exhorts them to stedfastness (Th2 2:13-15). And concludes with a prayer for them (Th2 2:16, Th2 2:17).

وَنُشْهِدُكُمْ لِكَيْ تَسْلُكُوا كَمَا يَحِقُِّ للهِ الَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ إِلَى مَلَكُوتِهِ وَمَجْدِهِ.
وَإِلهُ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ الَّذِي دَعَانَا إِلَى مَجْدِهِ الأَبَدِيِّ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، بَعْدَمَا تَأَلَّمْتُمْ يَسِيرًا، هُوَ يُكَمِّلُكُمْ، وَيُثَبِّتُكُمْ، وَيُقَوِّيكُمْ، وَيُمَكِّنُكُمْ.

فَإِنْ كُنَّا أَوْلاَدًا فَإِنَّنَا وَرَثَةٌ أَيْضًا، وَرَثَةُ اللهِ وَوَارِثُونَ مَعَ الْمَسِيحِ. إِنْ كُنَّا نَتَأَلَّمُ مَعَهُ لِكَيْ نَتَمَجَّدَ أَيْضًا مَعَهُ.
فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي فِيهِ يَدِينُ اللهُ سَرَائِرَ النَّاسِ حَسَبَ إِنْجِيلِي بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ.
مَنْ يَغْلِبُ فَسَأُعْطِيهِ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ مَعِي فِي عَرْشِي، كَمَا غَلَبْتُ أَنَا أَيْضًا وَجَلَسْتُ مَعَ أَبِي فِي عَرْشِهِ.
أَيُّهَا الآبُ أُرِيدُ أَنَّ هؤُلاَءِ الَّذِينَ أَعْطَيْتَنِي يَكُونُونَ مَعِي حَيْثُ أَكُونُ أَنَا، لِيَنْظُرُوا مَجْدِي الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتَنِي، لأَنَّكَ أَحْبَبْتَنِي قَبْلَ إِنْشَاءِ الْعَالَمِ.
فَقَالَ لَهُ سَيِّدُهُ: نِعِمَّا أَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ وَالأَمِينُ! كُنْتَ أَمِينًا فِي الْقَلِيلِ فَأُقِيمُكَ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ. اُدْخُلْ إِلَى فَرَحِ سَيِّدِكَ.
مُسْتَنِيرَةً عُيُونُ أَذْهَانِكُمْ، لِتَعْلَمُوا مَا هُوَ رَجَاءُ دَعْوَتِهِ، وَمَا هُوَ غِنَى مَجْدِ مِيرَاثِهِ فِي الْقِدِّيسِينَ،
وَلِلْقَادِرِ أَنْ يُثَبِّتَكُمْ، حَسَبَ إِنْجِيلِي وَالْكِرَازَةِ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ، حَسَبَ إِعْلاَنِ السِّرِّ الَّذِي كَانَ مَكْتُومًا فِي الأَزْمِنَةِ الأَزَلِيَّةِ،
