Behind the sacred things came the banners of Ephraim, with Manasseh and Benjamin (see Num 2:18-24), and Dan with Asher and Naphtali (Num 2:25-31); so that the camp of Dan was the "collector of all the camps according to their hosts," i.e., formed that division of the army which kept the hosts together.

لابْنَيْ يُوسُفَ: لأَفْرَايِمَ أَلِيشَمَعُ بْنُ عَمِّيهُودَ، وَلِمَنَسَّى جَمْلِيئِيلُ بْنُ فَدَهْصُورَ.
فَأَبَى أَبُوهُ وَقَالَ: «عَلِمْتُ يَا ابْنِي، عَلِمْتُ. هُوَ أَيْضًا يَكُونُ شَعْبًا، وَهُوَ أَيْضًا يَصِيرُ كَبِيرًا. وَلكِنَّ أَخَاهُ الصَّغِيرَ يَكُونُ أَكْبَرَ مِنْهُ، وَنَسْلُهُ يَكُونُ جُمْهُورًا مِنَ الأُمَمِ».
وَفِي الْيَوْمِ السَّابعِ رَئِيسُ بَنِي أَفْرَايِمَ أَلِيشَمَعُ بْنُ عَمِّيهُودَ.
