For God . . . whom I serve--the word denotes religious service. with my spirit--from my inmost soul. in the gospel of his Son--to which Paul's whole religious life and official activity were consecrated. is my witness, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers--so for the Ephesians (Eph 1:15-16); so for the Philippians (Phi 1:3-4); so for the Colossians (Col 1:3-4); so for the Thessalonians (Th1 1:2-3). What catholic love, what all-absorbing spirituality, what impassioned devotion to the glory of Christ among men!

A description of the deplorable condition of the Gentile world, which begins the proof of the doctrine of justification by faith, here laid down at Rom 1:17. The first is according to the then usual formality of a letter, but intermixed with very excellent and savoury expressions.
افتح المصدر ↗1:9 When Paul uses the phrase with all my heart (or in my spirit), he might be describing the influence of God’s Holy Spirit on his own inner person. The word spirit also refers to the deepest part of a person, which the phrase all my heart expresses well.

مُصَلِّينَ بِكُلِّ صَلاَةٍ وَطِلْبَةٍ كُلَّ وَقْتٍ فِي الرُّوحِ، وَسَاهِرِينَ لِهذَا بِعَيْنِهِ بِكُلِّ مُواظَبَةٍ وَطِلْبَةٍ، لأَجْلِ جَمِيعِ الْقِدِّيسِينَ،
إِنِّي أَشْكُرُ اللهَ الَّذِي أَعْبُدُهُ مِنْ أَجْدَادِي بِضَمِيرٍ طَاهِرٍ، كَمَا أَذْكُرُكَ بِلاَ انْقِطَاعٍ فِي طَلِبَاتِي لَيْلاً وَنَهَارًا،
أَقُولُ الصِّدْقَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ، لاَ أَكْذِبُ، وَضَمِيرِي شَاهِدٌ لِي بِالرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ:
صَلُّوا بِلاَ انْقِطَاعٍ.
وَلكِنِّي أَسْتَشْهِدُ اللهَ عَلَى نَفْسِي، أَنِّي إِشْفَاقًا عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ آتِ إِلَى كُورِنْثُوسَ.
وَلَمَّا كَمِلَتْ هذِهِ الأُمُورُ، وَضَعَ بُولُسُ فِي نَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ بَعْدَمَا يَجْتَازُ فِي مَكِدُونِيَّةَ وَأَخَائِيَةَ يَذْهَبُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ، قَائِلاً:«إِنِّي بَعْدَ مَا أَصِيرُ هُنَاكَ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ أَرَى رُومِيَةَ أَيْضًا».
لأَنَّنَا نَحْنُ الْخِتَانَ، الَّذِينَ نَعْبُدُ اللهَ بِالرُّوحِ، وَنَفْتَخِرُ فِي الْمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، وَلاَ نَتَّكِلُ عَلَى الْجَسَدِ.
دَائِمًا فِي كُلِّ أَدْعِيَتِي، مُقَدِّمًا الطَّلْبَةَ لأَجْلِ جَمِيعِكُمْ بِفَرَحٍ،
لأَنَّهُ وَقَفَ بِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ مَلاَكُ الإِلهِ الَّذِي أَنَا لَهُ وَالَّذِي أَعْبُدُهُ،
نَشْكُرُ اللهَ كُلَّ حِينٍ مِنْ جِهَةِ جَمِيعِكُمْ، ذَاكِرِينَ إِيَّاكُمْ فِي صَلَوَاتِنَا،
