Go thy way--Do as thou art bidden, without gainsaying. he is a chosen vessel--a word often used by Paul in illustrating God's sovereignty in election (Rom 9:21-23; Co2 4:7; Ti2 2:20-21 [ALFORD]. Compare Zac 3:2).
افتح المصدر ↗In this chapter we have, I. The famous story of St. Paul's conversion from being an outrageous persecutor of the gospel of Christ to be an illustrious professor and preacher of it. I. How he was first awakened and wrought upon by an appearance of Christ himself to him as he was going upon an errand of persecution to Damascus: and what a condition he was in while he lay under the power of those convictions and terrors (Act 9:1-9). 2. How he was baptized by Ananias, by immediate directions from heaven (Act 9:10-19). 3. How he immediately commenced doctor, and preached the faith of Christ, and proved what he preached (Act 9:20-22). 4. How he was persecuted, and narrowly escaped with his life (Act 9:23-25). 5. افتح المصدر ↗9:15 Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles: In God’s plan for spreading the Good News, the Gentiles were the next step (see 1:8; cp. chs 10–11). Saul of Tarsus (Paul) was God’s choice to spearhead this expansive missionary effort to bring the Christian message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. The rest of Acts illustrates Saul’s (Paul’s) faithfulness in carrying out this divine commission (e.g., 26:19-23).

الَّتِي جُعِلْتُ أَنَا لَهَا كَارِزًا وَرَسُولاً. اَلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ فِي الْمَسِيحِ وَلاَ أَكْذِبُ، مُعَلِّمًا لِلأُمَمِ فِي الإِيمَانِ وَالْحَقِّ.
لَيْسَ أَنْتُمُ اخْتَرْتُمُونِي بَلْ أَنَا اخْتَرْتُكُمْ، وَأَقَمْتُكُمْ لِتَذْهَبُوا وَتَأْتُوا بِثَمَرٍ، وَيَدُومَ ثَمَرُكُمْ، لِكَيْ يُعْطِيَكُمُ الآبُ كُلَّ مَا طَلَبْتُمْ بِاسْمِي.
بُولُسُ، رَسُولٌ لاَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلاَ بِإِنْسَانٍ، بَلْ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ وَاللهِ الآبِ الَّذِي أَقَامَهُ مِنَ الأَمْوَاتِ،
الَّذِي جُعِلْتُ أَنَا لَهُ كَارِزًا وَرَسُولاً وَمُعَلِّمًا لِلأُمَمِ.
وَلكِنْ بِنِعْمَةِ اللهِ أَنَا مَا أَنَا، وَنِعْمَتُهُ الْمُعْطَاةُ لِي لَمْ تَكُنْ بَاطِلَةً، بَلْ أَنَا تَعِبْتُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ جَمِيعِهِمْ. وَلكِنْ لاَ أَنَا، بَلْ نِعْمَةُ اللهِ الَّتِي مَعِي.
وَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَخْدِمُونَ الرَّبَّ وَيَصُومُونَ، قَالَ الرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ:«أَفْرِزُوا لِي بَرْنَابَا وَشَاوُلَ لِلْعَمَلِ الَّذِي دَعَوْتُهُمَا إِلَيْهِ».
