With a reference to, and a brief recapitulation of, his gospel, or history of the life of Christ, inscribing this, as he had done that, to his friend Theophilus (Act 1:1, Act 1:2). II. With a summary of the proofs of Christ's resurrection, his conference with his disciples, and the instructions he gave them during the forty days, of his continuance on earth (Act 1:3-5). III. وَيُلْقِي هَارُونُ عَلَى التَّيْسَيْنِ قُرْعَتَيْنِ: قُرْعَةً لِلرَّبِّ وَقُرْعَةً لِعَزَازِيلَ.
فَأَلْقَى لَهُمْ يَشُوعُ قُرْعَةً فِي شِيلُوهَ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ، وَهُنَاكَ قَسَمَ يَشُوعُ الأَرْضَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ حَسَبَ فِرَقِهِمْ.
وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: «هَلُمَّ نُلْقِي قُرَعًا لِنَعْرِفَ بِسَبَبِ مَنْ هذِهِ الْبَلِيَّةُ». فَأَلْقَوا قُرَعًا، فَوَقَعَتِ الْقُرْعَةُ عَلَى يُونَانَ.
وَانْقَسَمُوا بِالْقُرْعَةِ، هؤُلاَءِ مَعَ هؤُلاَءِ، لأَنَّ رُؤَسَاءَ الْقُدْسِ وَرُؤَسَاءَ بَيْتِ اللهِ كَانُوا مِنْ بَنِي أَلِعَازَارَ وَمِنْ بَنِي إِيثَامَارَ.
فَوَقَفَ بُطْرُسُ مَعَ الأَحَدَ عَشَرَ وَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ:«أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الْيَهُودُ وَالسَّاكِنُونَ فِي أُورُشَلِيمَ أَجْمَعُونَ، لِيَكُنْ هذَا مَعْلُومًا عِنْدَكُمْ وَأَصْغُوا إِلَى كَلاَمِي،
الْفِطْنَةُ يَنْبُوعُ حَيَاةٍ لِصَاحِبِهَا، وَتَأْدِيبُ الْحَمْقَى حَمَاقَةٌ.
ثُمَّ أَهْلَكَ سَبْعَ أُمَمٍ فِي أَرْضِ كَنْعَانَ وَقَسَمَ لَهُمْ أَرْضَهُمْ بِالْقُرْعَةِ.
