كَارِزًا بِمَلَكُوتِ اللهِ، وَمُعَلِّمًا بِأَمْرِ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ بِكُلِّ مُجَاهَرَةٍ، بِلاَ مَانِعٍ.
فَأَيُّ الاثْنَيْنِ عَمِلَ إِرَادَةَ الأَبِ؟» قَالُوا لَهُ:«الأَوَّلُ». قَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ:«الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ الْعَشَّارِينَ وَالزَّوَانِيَ يَسْبِقُونَكُمْ إِلَى مَلَكُوتِ اللهِ،
وَعَلَى أَثَرِ ذلِكَ كَانَ يَسِيرُ فِي مَدِينَةٍ وَقَرْيَةٍ يَكْرِزُ وَيُبَشِّرُ بِمَلَكُوتِ اللهِ، وَمَعَهُ الاثْنَا عَشَرَ.
رُوحُ السَّيِّدِ الرَّبِّ عَلَيَّ، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ مَسَحَنِي لأُبَشِّرَ الْمَسَاكِينَ، أَرْسَلَنِي لأَعْصِبَ مُنْكَسِرِي الْقَلْبِ، لأُنَادِيَ لِلْمَسْبِيِّينَ بِالْعِتْقِ، وَلِلْمَأْسُورِينَ بِالإِطْلاَقِ.
فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «لاَ يَحْتَاجُ الأَصِحَّاءُ إِلَى طَبِيبٍ، بَلِ الْمَرْضَى.
فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ يَسُوعُ أَبْصَرَ جَمْعًا كَثِيرًا فَتَحَنَّنَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَشَفَى مَرْضَاهُمْ.
لِذلِكَ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ يُنْزَعُ مِنْكُمْ وَيُعْطَى لأُمَّةٍ تَعْمَلُ أَثْمَارَهُ.
فَقَالَ:«لَكُمْ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ أَنْ تَعْرِفُوا أَسْرَارَ مَلَكُوتِ اللهِ، وَأَمَّا لِلْبَاقِينَ فَبِأَمْثَال، حَتَّى إِنَّهُمْ مُبْصِرِينَ لاَ يُبْصِرُونَ، وَسَامِعِينَ لاَ يَفْهَمُونَ.
لأَنَّ الْمَسِيحَ أَيْضًا لَمْ يُرْضِ نَفْسَهُ، بَلْ كَمَا هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ:«تَعْيِيرَاتُ مُعَيِّرِيكَ وَقَعَتْ عَلَيَّ».
كُلُّ مَا يُعْطِينِي الآبُ فَإِلَيَّ يُقْبِلُ، وَمَنْ يُقْبِلْ إِلَيَّ لاَ أُخْرِجْهُ خَارِجًا.
