فَقَالَ صَاحِبُ الْكَرْمِ: مَاذَا أَفْعَلُ؟ أُرْسِلُ ابْنِي الْحَبِيبَ، لَعَلَّهُمْ إِذَا رَأَوْهُ يَهَابُونَ!

my beloved son--Mark (Mar 12:6) still more affectingly, "Having yet therefore one son, his well-beloved"; our Lord thus severing Himself from all merely human messengers, and claiming Sonship in its loftiest sense. (Compare Heb 3:3-6.) it may be--"surely"; implying the almost unimaginable guilt of not doing so.

لَعَلَّ بَيْتَ يَهُوذَا يَسْمَعُونَ كُلَّ الشَّرِّ الَّذِي أَنَا مُفَكِّرٌ أَنْ أَصْنَعَهُ بِهِمْ، فَيَرْجِعُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ طَرِيقِهِ الرَّدِيءِ، فَأَغْفِرَ ذَنْبَهُمْ وَخَطِيَّتَهُمْ».
لَعَلَّ تَضَرُّعَهُمْ يَقَعُ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ، فَيَرْجِعُوا كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ طَرِيقِهِ الرَّدِيءِ، لأَنَّهُ عَظِيمٌ الْغَضَبُ وَالْغَيْظُ اللَّذَانِ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِمَا الرَّبُّ عَلَى هذَا الشَّعْبِ».
لأَنَّهُ مَا كَانَ النَّامُوسُ عَاجِزًا عَنْهُ، فِي مَا كَانَ ضَعِيفًا بِالْجَسَدِ، فَاللهُ إِذْ أَرْسَلَ ابْنَهُ فِي شِبْهِ جَسَدِ الْخَطِيَّةِ، وَلأَجْلِ الْخَطِيَّةِ، دَانَ الْخَطِيَّةَ فِي الْجَسَدِ،
وَأَنَا قَدْ رَأَيْتُ وَشَهِدْتُ أَنَّ هذَا هُوَ ابْنُ اللهِ».
وَصَارَ صَوْتٌ مِنَ السَّحَابَةِ قَائِلاً:«هذَا هُوَ ابْنِي الْحَبِيبُ. لَهُ اسْمَعُوا».
كَيْفَ أَجْعَلُكَ يَا أَفْرَايِمُ، أُصَيِّرُكَ يَا إِسْرَائِيلُ؟! كَيْفَ أَجْعَلُكَ كَأَدَمَةَ، أَصْنَعُكَ كَصَبُويِيمَ؟! قَدِ انْقَلَبَ عَلَيَّ قَلْبِي. اضْطَرَمَتْ مَرَاحِمِي جَمِيعًا.
وَفِيمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ إِذَا سَحَابَةٌ نَيِّرَةٌ ظَلَّلَتْهُمْ، وَصَوْتٌ مِنَ السَّحَابَةِ قَائِلاً:«هذَا هُوَ ابْني الْحَبِيبُ الَّذِي بِهِ سُرِرْتُ. لَهُ اسْمَعُوا».
مَاذَا يُصْنَعُ أَيْضًا لِكَرْمِي وَأَنَا لَمْ أَصْنَعْهُ لَهُ؟ لِمَاذَا إِذِ انْتَظَرْتُ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ عِنَبًا، صَنَعَ عِنَبًا رَدِيئًا؟
«مَاذَا أَصْنَعُ بِكَ يَا أَفْرَايِمُ؟ مَاذَا أَصْنَعُ بِكَ يَا يَهُوذَا؟ فَإِنَّ إِحْسَانَكُمْ كَسَحَابِ الصُّبْحِ، وَكَالنَّدَى الْمَاضِي بَاكِرًا.
