حِينَئِذٍ صَرَفَ يَسُوعُ الْجُمُوعَ وَجَاءَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ. فَتَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ تَلاَمِيذُهُ قَائِلِينَ:«فَسِّرْ لَنَا مَثَلَ زَوَانِ الْحَقْلِ».
وَبِدُونِ مَثَل لَمْ يَكُنْ يُكَلِّمُهُمْ. وَأَمَّا عَلَى انْفِرَادٍ فَكَانَ يُفَسِّرُ لِتَلاَمِيذِهِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ.
وَلَمَّا دَخَلَ مِنْ عِنْدِ الْجَمْعِ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ، سَأَلَهُ تَلاَمِيذُهُ عَنِ الْمَثَلِ.
اَلْمُسَايِرُ الْحُكَمَاءَ يَصِيرُ حَكِيمًا، وَرَفِيقُ الْجُهَّالِ يُضَرُّ.
