وَمَنْ لاَ يَقْبَلُكُمْ وَلاَ يَسْمَعُ كَلاَمَكُمْ فَاخْرُجُوا خَارِجًا مِنْ ذلِكَ الْبَيْتِ أَوْ مِنْ تِلْكَ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَانْفُضُوا غُبَارَ أَرْجُلِكُمْ.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city--for possibly a whole town might not furnish one "worthy." shake off the dust of your feet--"for a testimony against them," as Mark and Luke add (Mar 6:11; Luk 10:11). By this symbolical action they vividly shook themselves from all connection with such, and all responsibility for the guilt of rejecting them and their message. Such symbolical actions were common in ancient times, even among others than the Jews, as strikingly appears in Pilate (Mat 27:24). And even to this day it prevails in the East.
افتح المصدر ↗This chapter is an ordination sermon, which our Lord Jesus preached, when he advanced his twelve disciples to the degree and dignity of apostles. In the close of the foregoing chapter, he had stirred up them and others to pray that God would send forth labourers, and here we have an immediate answer to that prayer: while they are yet speaking he hears and performs. What we pray for, according to Christ's direction, shall be given, Now here we have, I. The general commission that was given them (Mat 10:1). II. The names of the persons to whom this commission was given (Mat 10:2-4). III. The instructions that were given them, which are very full and particular; 1. Concerning the services they were to do; their preaching; their working miracles; to whom they must apply themselves; how they must behave themselves; and in what method they must proceed (Mat 10:5-15). 2. Concerning the sufferings they were to undergo. They are told what they should suffer, and from whom; counsels are given them what course to take when persecuted, and encouragements to bear up cheerfully under their sufferings (v. 16-42). These things, though primarily intended for direction to the apostles, are of use to all Christ's ministers, with whom, by his word, Christ, and will be always to end the world.
افتح المصدر ↗10:14 shake its dust from your feet: This prophet-like gesture is explained by the Israelite custom of expressing displeasure with ungodliness by shaking off Gentile dust whenever crossing the border into Israel. The gesture signifies the disciples’ rejection of those who oppose God’s work (see Acts 18:6). Pronouncing judgment on those who reject the message is part of proclaiming the Good News about the Kingdom (see Matt 11:20-24; 13:10-15; 23:37-39; 24:1-36).

وَإِذْ كَانُوا يُقَاوِمُونَ وَيُجَدِّفُونَ نَفَضَ ثِيَابَهُ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ:«دَمُكُمْ عَلَى رُؤُوسِكُمْ! أَنَا بَرِيءٌ. مِنَ الآنَ أَذْهَبُ إِلَى الأُمَمِ».
ثُمَّ نَفَضْتُ حِجِْرِي وَقُلْتُ: «هكَذَا يَنْفُضُ اللهُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ لاَ يُقِيمُ هذَا الْكَلاَمَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ وَمِنْ تَعَبِهِ، وَهكَذَا يَكُونُ مَنْفُوضًا وَفَارِغًا». فَقَالَ كُلُّ الْجَمَاعَةِ: «آمِينَ». وَسَبَّحُوا الرَّبَّ. وَعَمِلَ الشَّعْبُ حَسَبَ هذَا الْكَلاَمِ.
أَمَّا هُمَا فَنَفَضَا غُبَارَ أَرْجُلِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمْ، وَأَتَيَا إِلَى إِيقُونِيَةَ.
وَكُلُّ مَنْ لاَ يَقْبَلُكُمْ فَاخْرُجُوا مِنْ تِلْكَ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَانْفُضُوا الْغُبَارَ أَيْضًا عَنْ أَرْجُلِكُمْ شَهَادَةً عَلَيْهِمْ».
وَكُلُّ مَنْ لاَ يَقْبَلُكُمْ وَلاَ يَسْمَعُ لَكُمْ، فَاخْرُجُوا مِنْ هُنَاكَ وَانْفُضُوا التُّرَابَ الَّذِي تَحْتَ أَرْجُلِكُمْ شَهَادَةً عَلَيْهِمْ. اَلْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: سَتَكُونُ لأَرْضِ سَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ حَالَةٌ أَكْثَرُ احْتِمَالاً مِمَّا لِتِلْكَ الْمَدِينَةِ».
إِذًا مَنْ يُرْذِلُ لاَ يُرْذِلُ إِنْسَانًا، بَلِ اللهَ الَّذِي أَعْطَانَا أَيْضًا رُوحَهُ الْقُدُّوسَ.
اَلْحَقَّ الْحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمُ: الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ مَنْ أُرْسِلُهُ يَقْبَلُنِي، وَالَّذِي يَقْبَلُنِي يَقْبَلُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي».
«مَنْ قَبِلَ وَاحِدًا مِنْ أَوْلاَدٍ مِثْلَ هذَا بِاسْمِي يَقْبَلُنِي، وَمَنْ قَبِلَنِي فَلَيْسَ يَقْبَلُنِي أَنَا بَلِ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي».
وَمَنْ قَبِلَ وَلَدًا وَاحِدًا مِثْلَ هذَا بِاسْمِي فَقَدْ قَبِلَنِي.
وَقَالَ لَهُمْ:«مَنْ قَبِلَ هذَا الْوَلَدَ بِاسْمِي يَقْبَلُنِي، وَمَنْ قَبِلَنِي يَقْبَلُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَنِي، لأَنَّ الأَصْغَرَ فِيكُمْ جَمِيعًا هُوَ يَكُونُ عَظِيمًا»
