وَمِنْ بَابِ خَيْمَةِ الاجْتِمَاعِ لاَ تَخْرُجُوا لِئَلاَّ تَمُوتُوا، لأَنَّ دُهْنَ مَسْحَةِ الرَّبِّ عَلَيْكُمْ». فَفَعَلُوا حَسَبَ كَلاَمِ مُوسَى.

The latter were not to go away from the door (the entrance or court of the tabernacle), sc., to take part in the burial of the dead, lest they should die, for the anointing oil of Jehovah was upon them. The anointing oil was the symbol of the Spirit of God, which is a Spirit of life, and therefore has nothing in common with death, but rather conquers death, and sin, which is the source of death (cf. Lev 21:12).

The sin and death of Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron (Lev 10:1, Lev 10:2). II. The quieting of Aaron under this sore affliction (Lev 10:3). III. The care Moses took that they should go on with their work, notwithstanding the agitation produced by this event (Lev 10:12, etc.).

ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مُوسَى مِنْ دُهْنِ الْمَسْحَةِ وَمِنَ الدَّمِ الَّذِي عَلَى الْمَذْبَحِ، وَنَضَحَ عَلَى هَارُونَ وَعَلَى ثِيَابِهِ، وَعَلَى بَنِيهِ وَعَلَى ثِيَابِ بَنِيهِ مَعَهُ. وَقَدَّسَ هَارُونَ وَثِيَابَهُ وَبَنِيهِ وَثِيَابَ بَنِيهِ مَعَهُ.
وَتُلْبِسُ هَارُونَ أَخَاكَ إِيَّاهَا وَبَنِيهِ مَعَهُ، وَتَمْسَحُهُمْ، وَتَمْلأُ أَيَادِيهِمْ، وَتُقَدِّسُهُمْ لِيَكْهَنُوا لِي.
وَصَبَّ مِنْ دُهْنِ الْمَسْحَةِ عَلَى رَأْسِ هَارُونَ وَمَسَحَهُ لِتَقْدِيسِهِ.
وَتَمْسَحُ هَارُونَ وَبَنِيهِ وَتُقَدِّسُهُمْ لِيَكْهَنُوا لِي.
فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ:«دَعِ الْمَوْتَى يَدْفِنُونَ مَوْتَاهُمْ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ فَاذْهَبْ وَنَادِ بِمَلَكُوتِ اللهِ».
