وَتَصْنَعُ غِطَاءً لِلْخَيْمَةِ مِنْ جُلُودِ كِبَاشٍ مُحَمَّرَةٍ، وَغِطَاءً مِنْ جُلُودِ تُخَسٍ مِنْ فَوْقُ.

"The other coverings were placed on the top of this tent: one made of rams' skins dyed red, "as a covering for the tent," and another upon the top of this, made of the skins of the sea-cow (תּחשׁים, see at Exo 25:5).

These particulars, thus largely recorded, seem of little use to us now; yet, having been of great use to Moses and Israel, and God having thought fit to preserve down to us the remembrance of them, we ought not to overlook them. Even the antiquity renders this account venerable.

وَالْغِطَاءِ مِنْ جُلُودِ الْكِبَاشِ الْمُحَمَّرَةِ، وَالْغِطَاءِ مِنْ جُلُودِ التُّخَسِ، وَحِجَابِ السَّجْفِ،
وَأَلْبَسْتُكِ مُطَرَّزَةً، وَنَعَلْتُكِ بِالتُّخَسِ، وَأَزَّرْتُكِ بِالْكَتَّانِ، وَكَسَوْتُكِ بَزًّا،
وَيَجْعَلُونَهَا وَجَمِيعَ آنِيَتَهَا فِي غِطَاءٍ مِنْ جِلْدِ تُخَسٍ، وَيَجْعَلُونَهُ عَلَى الْعَتَلَةِ.
لأَنَّهُ يُخَبِّئُنِي فِي مَظَلَّتِهِ فِي يَوْمِ الشَّرِّ. يَسْتُرُنِي بِسِتْرِ خَيْمَتِهِ. عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ يَرْفَعُنِي.
وَجُلُودَ كِبَاشٍ مُحَمَّرَةً وَجُلُودَ تُخَسٍ وَخَشَبَ سَنْطٍ،
لأَنَّكَ كُنْتَ حِصْنًا لِلْمِسْكِينِ، حِصْنًا لِلْبَائِسِ فِي ضِيقِهِ، مَلْجَأً مِنَ السَّيْلِ، ظِّلاً مِنَ الْحَرِّ، إِذْ كَانَتْ نَفْخَةُ الْعُتَاةِ كَسَيْل عَلَى حَائِطٍ.
وَكُلُّ مَنْ وُجِدَ عِنْدَهُ أَسْمَانْجُونِيٌّ وَأُرْجُوانٌ وَقِرْمِزٌ وَبُوصٌ وَشَعْرُ مِعْزىً وَجُلُودُ كِبَاشٍ مُحَمَّرَةٌ وَجُلُودُ تُخَسٍ، جَاءَ بِهَا.
