بِإِدْخَالِكُمْ أَبْنَاءَ الْغَرِيبِ الْغُلْفَ الْقُلُوبِ الْغُلْفَ اللَّحْمِ لِيَكُونُوا فِي مَقْدِسِي، فَيُنَجِّسُوا بَيْتِي بِتَقْرِيبِكُمْ خُبْزِي الشَّحْمَ وَالدَّمَ. فَنَقَضُوا عَهْدِي فَوْقَ كُلِّ رَجَاسَاتِكُمْ.

اِخْتَتِنُوا لِلرَّبِّ وَانْزِعُوا غُرَلَ قُلُوبِكُمْ يَا رِجَالَ يَهُوذَا وَسُكَّانَ أُورُشَلِيمَ، لِئَلاَّ يَخْرُجَ كَنَارٍ غَيْظِي، فَيُحْرِقَ وَلَيْسَ مَنْ يُطْفِئُ، بِسَبَبِ شَرِّ أَعْمَالِكُمْ.
وَإِنِّي أَيْضًا سَلَكْتُ مَعَهُمْ بِالْخِلاَفِ وَأَتَيْتُ بِهِمْ إِلَى أَرْضِ أَعْدَائِهِمْ. إِلاَّ أَنْ تَخْضَعَ حِينَئِذٍ قُلُوبُهُمُ الْغُلْفُ، وَيَسْتَوْفُوا حِينَئِذٍ عَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمْ،
وَأَمَّا الذَّكَرُ الأَغْلَفُ الَّذِي لاَ يُخْتَنُ فِي لَحْمِ غُرْلَتِهِ فَتُقْطَعُ تِلْكَ النَّفْسُ مِنْ شَعْبِهَا. إِنَّهُ قَدْ نَكَثَ عَهْدِي».
« هكَذَا قَالَ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ: ابْنُ الْغَرِيبِ أَغْلَفُ الْقَلْبِ وَأَغْلَفُ اللَّحْمِ لاَ يَدْخُلُ مَقْدِسِي، مِنْ كُلِّ ابْنٍ غَرِيبٍ الَّذِي مِنْ وَسْطِ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.
«يَا قُسَاةَ الرِّقَابِ، وَغَيْرَ الْمَخْتُونِينَ بِالْقُلُوبِ وَالآذَانِ! أَنْتُمْ دَائِمًا تُقَاوِمُونَ الرُّوحَ الْقُدُسَ. كَمَا كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ كَذلِكَ أَنْتُمْ!
فَاخْتِنُوا غُرْلَةَ قُلُوبِكُمْ، وَلاَ تُصَلِّبُوا رِقَابَكُمْ بَعْدُ.
صَارِخِينَ:«يَا أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِسْرَائِيلِيُّونَ، أَعِينُوا! هذَا هُوَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي يُعَلِّمُ الْجَمِيعَ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ ضِدًّا لِلشَّعْبِ وَالنَّامُوسِ وَهذَا الْمَوْضِعِ، حَتَّى أَدْخَلَ يُونَانِيِّينَ أَيْضًا إِلَى الْهَيْكَلِ وَدَنَّسَ هذَا الْمَوْضِعَ الْمُقَدَّسَ».
لاَ كَالْعَهْدِ الَّذِي عَمِلْتُهُ مَعَ آبَائِهِمْ يَوْمَ أَمْسَكْتُ بِيَدِهِمْ لأُخْرِجَهُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ، لأَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَثْبُتُوا فِي عَهْدِي، وَأَنَا أَهْمَلْتُهُمْ، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ.
