لأَنَّهُمْ خَدَمُوهُمْ أَمَامَ أَصْنَامِهِمْ وَكَانُوا مَعْثَرَةَ إِثْمٍ لِبَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. لِذلِكَ رَفَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَيْهِمْ، يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ، فَيَحْمِلُونَ إِثْمَهُمْ.

In this chapter we have, I. The appropriating of the east gate of the temple to the prince (Eze 44:1-3). II. A reproof sent to the house of Israel for their former profanations of God's sanctuary, with a charge to them to be more strict for the future (Eze 44:4-9). III. The degrading of those Levites that had formerly been guilty of idolatry and the establishing of the priesthood in the family of Zadok, which had kept their integrity (Eze 44:10-16). IV. Divers laws and ordinances concerning the priests (Eze 44:17-31).
افتح المصدر ↗44:12-14 The Levites had encouraged . . . Israel to fall into deep sin by abandoning the Lord and worshiping idols. One of the consequences of that sin was that they could no longer enter the inner court of the Temple like the priests. However, by God’s grace, they would still have a significant ministry in serving the people and slaughtering their sacrifices. • The people as a whole were placed at a greater distance from God because of their idolatry. Prior to the Exile they would have slaughtered their own sacrifices (see Lev 1:5, 11); now they must hand them over to the Levites to be slaughtered on their behalf.

فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيُسْقِطَهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ،

بَلِ اللاَّوِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ ابْتَعَدُوا عَنِّي حِينَ ضَلَّ إِسْرَائِيلُ، فَضَلُّوا عَنِّي وَرَاءَ أَصْنَامِهِمْ، يَحْمِلُونَ إِثْمَهُمْ.
وَرَفَعْتُ أَيْضًا يَدِي لَهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ لأُفَرِّقَهُمْ فِي الأُمَمِ وَأُذَرِّيَهُمْ فِي الأَرَاضِي،
وَصَارَ مُرْشِدُو هذَا الشَّعْبِ مُضِلِّينَ، وَمُرْشَدُوهُ مُبْتَلَعِينَ.
وَلاَ يَتَقَرَّبُونَ إِلَيَّ لِيَكْهَنُوا لِي، وَلاَ لِلاقْتِرَابِ إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ أَقْدَاسِي إِلَى قُدْسِ الأَقْدَاسِ، بَلْ يَحْمِلُونَ خِزْيَهُمْ وَرَجَاسَاتِهِمِ الَّتِي فَعَلُوهَا.
«اِسْمَعُوا هذَا أَيُّهَا الْكَهَنَةُ! وَانْصِتُوا يَا بَيْتَ إِسْرَائِيلَ! وَأَصْغُوا يَا بَيْتَ الْمَلِكِ! لأَنَّ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقَضَاءَ، إِذْ صِرْتُمْ فَخًّا فِي مِصْفَاةَ، وَشَبَكَةً مَبْسُوطَةً عَلَى تَابُورَ.
لَمَّا أَتَيْتُ بِهِمْ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي رَفَعْتُ لَهُمْ يَدِي لأُعْطِيَهُمْ إِيَّاهَا، فَرَأَوْا كُلَّ تَلّ عَال وَكُلَّ شَجَرَةٍ غَبْيَاءَ، فَذَبَحُوا هُنَاكَ ذَبَائِحَهُمْ، وَقَرَّبُوا هُنَاكَ قَرَابِينَهُمُ الْمُغِيظَةَ، وَقَدَّمُوا هُنَاكَ رَوَائِحَ سُرُورِهِمْ، وَسَكَبُوا هُنَاكَ سَكَائِبَهُمْ.
قَدْ أَقْسَمَ الرَّبُّ بِفَخْرِ يَعْقُوبَ: «إِنِّي لَنْ أَنْسَى إِلَى الأَبَدِ جَمِيعَ أَعْمَالِهِمْ.
فِي ذلِكَ الْيَوْمِ رَفَعْتُ لَهُمْ يَدِي لأُخْرِجَهُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِ مِصْرَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ الَّتِي تَجَسَّسْتُهَا لَهُمْ، تَفِيضُ لَبَنًا وَعَسَلاً، هِيَ فَخْرُ كُلِّ الأَرَاضِي،
