It was a much larger and more particular account of the building of the temple which we had in the book of Kings than is here in this book of Chronicles. In this chapter we have, I. The place and time of building the temple (Ch2 3:1, Ch2 3:2). II. The dimensions and rich ornaments of it (Ch2 3:3-9). III. The cherubim in the most holy place (Ch2 3:10-13). IV. The veil (Ch2 3:14). V. The two pillars (Ch2 3:15-17). Of all this we have already and an account, 1 Kings 6, 7.

وَأَنَا بِكُلِّ قُوَّتِي هَيَّأْتُ لِبَيْتِ إِلهِيَ: الذَّهَبَ لِمَا هُوَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، وَالْفِضَّةَ لِمَا هُوَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، وَالنُّحَاسَ لِمَا هُوَ مِنْ نُحَاسٍ، وَالْحَدِيدَ لِمَا هُوَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ، وَالْخَشَبَ لِمَا هُوَ مِنْ خَشَبٍ، وَحِجَارَةَ الْجَزَعِ، وَحِجَارَةً لِلتَّرْصِيعِ، وَحِجَارَةً كَحْلاَءَ وَرَقْمَاءَ، وَكُلَّ حِجَارَةٍ كَرِيمَةٍ، وَحِجَارَةَ الرُّخَامِ بِكَثْرَةٍ.
وَمَنْ وُجِدَ عِنْدَهُ حِجَارَةٌ أَعْطَاهَا لِخَزِينَةِ بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ عَنْ يَدِ يَحِيئِيلَ الْجَرْشُونِيِّ.
