وَجَاءَ هؤُلاَءِ الْمَكْتُوبَةُ أَسْمَاؤُهُمْ فِي أَيَّامِ حَزَقِيَّا مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا. وَضَرَبُوا خِيَمَهُمْ وَالْمَعُونِيِّينَ الَّذِينَ وُجِدُوا هُنَاكَ وَحَرَّمُوهُمْ إِلَى هذَا الْيَوْمِ، وَسَكَنُوا مَكَانَهُمْ لأَنَّ هُنَاكَ مَرْعًى لِمَاشِيَتِهِمْ.

And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped,.... وَصَنَعَ مِنْ دَمٍ وَاحِدٍ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ يَسْكُنُونَ عَلَى كُلِّ وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ، وَحَتَمَ بِالأَوْقَاتِ الْمُعَيَّنَةِ وَبِحُدُودِ مَسْكَنِهِمْ،
وَالصِّيدُونِيُّونَ وَالْعَمَالِقَةُوَالْمَعُونِيُّونَ قَدْ ضَايَقُوكُمْ فَصَرَخْتُمْ إِلَيَّ فَخَلَّصْتُكُمْ مِنْ أَيْدِيهِمْ؟
لِذلِكَ اسْمَعُوا مَشُورَةَ الرَّبِّ الَّتِي قَضَى بِهَا عَلَى أَدُومَ، وَأَفْكَارَهُ الَّتِي افْتَكَرَ بِهَا عَلَى سُكَّانِ تِيمَانَ: إِنَّ صِغَارَ الْغَنَمِ تَسْحَبُهُمْ. إِنَّهُ يَخْرِبُ مَسْكَنَهُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ.
