فَصَعِدُوا إِلَى بَعْلِ فَرَاصِيمَ وَضَرَبَهُمْ دَاوُدُ هُنَاكَ. وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ: «قَدِ اقْتَحَمَ اللهُ أَعْدَائِي بِيَدِي كَاقْتِحَامِ الْمِيَاهِ». لِذلِكَ دَعَوْا اسْمَ ذلِكَ الْمَوْضِعِ «بَعْلَ فَرَاصِيمَ».

لأَنَّهُ كَمَا فِي جَبَلِ فَرَاصِيمَ يَقُومُ الرَّبُّ، وَكَمَا فِي الْوَطَاءِ عِنْدَ جِبْعُونَ يَسْخَطُ لِيَفْعَلَ فَعْلَهُ، فَعْلَهُ الْغَرِيبَ، وَلِيَعْمَلَ عَمَلَهُ، عَمَلَهُ الْغَرِيبَ.
فَرَجَعَ الْمَاءُ وَغَطَّى مَرْكَبَاتِ وَفُرْسَانَ جَمِيعِ جَيْشِ فِرْعَوْنَ الَّذِي دَخَلَ وَرَاءَهُمْ فِي الْبَحْرِ. لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْهُمْ وَلاَ وَاحِدٌ.
فَجَاءَ دَاوُدُ إِلَى بَعْلِ فَرَاصِيمَ وَضَرَبَهُمْ دَاوُدُ هُنَاكَ، وَقَالَ: «قَدِ اقْتَحَمَ الرَّبُّ أَعْدَائِي أَمَامِي كَاقْتِحَامِ الْمِيَاهِ». لِذلِكَ دَعَى اسْمَ ذلِكَ الْمَوْضِعِ «بَعْلَ فَرَاصِيمَ».
فَنَزَلَ الْمَطَرُ، وَجَاءَتِ الأَنْهَارُ، وَهَبَّتِ الرِّيَاحُ، وَصَدَمَتْ ذلِكَ الْبَيْتَ فَسَقَطَ، وَكَانَ سُقُوطُهُ عَظِيمًا!».
الْمُعْطِي خَلاَصًا لِلْمُلُوكِ. الْمُنْقِذُ دَاوُدَ عَبْدَهُ مِنَ السَّيْفِ السُّوءِ.
يَأْتُونَ كَصَدْعٍ عَرِيضٍ. تَحْتَ الْهَدَّةِ يَتَدَحْرَجُونَ.
مُبَارَكٌ الرَّبُّ صَخْرَتِي، الَّذِي يُعَلِّمُ يَدَيَّ الْقِتَالَ وَأَصَابِعِي الْحَرْبَ.
لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِسَيْفِهِمُِ امْتَلَكُوا الأَرْضَ، وَلاَ ذِرَاعُهُمْ خَلَّصَتْهُمْ، لكِنْ يَمِينُكَ وَذِرَاعُكَ وَنُورُ وَجْهِكَ، لأَنَّكَ رَضِيتَ عَنْهُمْ.
