Terms of Service

Zuletzt aktualisiert July 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of dewfall, a Bible-reading application available on the web at dewfall.app and as a mobile app for iOS and Android (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using dewfall in any way — including simply reading the Bible without an account, creating an account, journaling, highlighting, or generating AI deep dives — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Tejas Kumar e.U., trading as dewfall ("dewfall," "we," "us," or "our"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Who Can Use dewfall

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or older if a higher minimum age is required to consent to the processing of your personal data in your country (for example, 16 in parts of the European Economic Area). If you are under the age required to provide consent on your own, you may only use the Service with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Service you represent that you meet these age requirements and that your use complies with all laws that apply to you. Reading the Bible on dewfall is free and open to the public and does not require an account; certain features described below require you to create an account.

Accounts and Sign-In

Reading Bible text is available without an account. To save reading progress, write journal entries, create highlights, or generate AI deep dives, you must create an account by signing in through a supported social sign-in provider (currently Google, with additional providers planned). Sign-in is provided through Google and handled by our own authentication service, hosted on Cloudflare.

dewfall does not create or store passwords for your account; authentication is delegated to your social sign-in provider. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the third-party account you use to sign in and for all activity that occurs under your dewfall account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are inactive, that violate these Terms, or where required to protect the Service or other users.

Free Tier and dewfall+ Subscription

dewfall offers a free tier and a paid subscription called "dewfall+." The free tier lets you read the Bible, save progress, journal, highlight, and generate a limited number of AI deep dives subject to a usage cap. dewfall+ unlocks generating new deep dives beyond the free cap and includes referral credits, as described in the app at the time of purchase.

Features, caps, and the contents of each tier may change over time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that reduce paid benefits you have already purchased.

Billing, Auto-Renewal, Cancellation, and Refunds

dewfall+ subscriptions are sold and processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and payment processor. When you subscribe, you authorize Polar to charge the payment method you provide. dewfall does not store full payment card numbers; payment details are handled by Polar in accordance with its terms and privacy policy.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through the subscription-management options provided by dewfall or Polar; cancellation stops future renewals, and your paid benefits generally remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds, where offered, are handled by Polar as the merchant of record and are subject to Polar's policies and to any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law. Prices, taxes, and fees may vary by region and are disclosed at the point of purchase.

Your Content and the License You Grant Us

"Your Content" means the journal entries, highlights, and reading progress you create through the Service. As between you and dewfall, you own Your Content. Your journals, highlights, and progress are private to your account and are protected by row-level security so that, under normal operation, only you can read your own content.

To operate the Service, you grant dewfall a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you — for example, storing your journals so you can read them across your devices and syncing your reading progress.

As described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy, a private background job may send your own journal entries to an AI provider solely to infer your recurring spiritual themes for your own profile; this analysis is not shared with other users. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use the text of your journals to generate the shared deep dives that other users see.

Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You will not: attempt to access another user's private content; probe, scan, or circumvent the Service's security or row-level access controls; reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content except as expressly permitted; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or use automated means to generate AI deep dives in a manner that abuses or attempts to bypass usage caps or billing.

You also agree not to use the Service to upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, transmit malware, or impersonate any person or entity. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including removing content or suspending accounts, for conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law.

dewfall includes social features — public reader profiles, a friends system, and optionally shared highlights. When you make a display name, handle, avatar, or highlight visible to others, you must not use it to harass, threaten, bully, defame, or incite violence against any person, or to post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise abusive content. Choose a display name and handle that are not obscene, hateful, or impersonating; we filter and may remove or reset names, handles, avatars, or shared content that violate these Terms. You can report objectionable content or conduct — including a profile, a shared highlight, or an AI-generated deep dive — using the in-app Report control or by emailing [email protected], and you can block another user at any time to stop all interaction with them. We review reports and aim to respond in a timely manner, and may remove content, reset names or handles, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

AI Deep Dives — Important Disclaimer

"Deep dives" are theological commentary generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude models) on the server side. Deep dives are keyed to a specific verse and are shared and cached across all users; they are not personalized to you and never contain the text of any user's journal.

Deep dives are provided as a study and devotional aid only. AI-generated content can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, and may not reflect any particular tradition, denomination, or scholarly consensus. Deep dives are not authoritative doctrine and are not a substitute for Scripture itself, for the guidance of qualified clergy or counselors, or for professional, legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice.

You are responsible for how you interpret and act on AI-generated content. Always weigh it against Scripture and trusted human guidance. We make no warranty that deep dives are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

Intellectual Property

The dewfall application — including its software, design, branding, logos, and the arrangement and presentation of content — is owned by Tejas Kumar e.U. and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose; no other rights are granted.

The Bible text presented in the Service is drawn from a public-domain or openly licensed translation (for example, the Berean Standard Bible) and remains subject to the terms of its own license; it is not owned by dewfall. AI-generated deep-dive commentary is produced through the Service and made available to users for study and devotional purposes as described in these Terms.

You retain ownership of Your Content as described above. Feedback or suggestions you choose to send us may be used without restriction or obligation to you.

Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers to function, including Cloudflare, Inc. (database, storage, and hosting of server functions), Anthropic (AI generation), Polar (payments and subscription management), Google (sign-in), and Vercel (web hosting and content delivery). Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of third-party services, and links or integrations to third-party services do not imply our endorsement. Outages or changes by a provider may affect the Service.

Disclaimers of Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any content — including Bible text or AI deep dives — will be accurate, complete, or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, dewfall and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us (via Polar) for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (EUR 50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tejas Kumar e.U. and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account and associated content as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Changes are effective when posted unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of Berlin, Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts located in Berlin, Germany will have jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the place where you live.
